Corn dry down:
25 - 30% moisture takes about 30 GDU to drop ONE POINT.
20 - 25% moisture takes about 45 GDU to drop ONE POINT.
This cool October weather is accumulating about 7-10 GDU per day. The warmth in the sun is what we have going for us right now.

Working on seeding rates for some of my guys as I head to the field to check on seeding. The attached photo is a great example why you don’t seed in bushels, but by TKW. The swing in seed weight between varieties this year is crazy. #Plantao2024 #AgronomyRocks

If soil test is ~15lbs acre P, & you apply 25lbs P,

It does not mean 40lbs P plant available combined.
30% available from fertilizer at best
->7.5lbs available from fert.
15+7.5=22.5lbs

Canola needs 0.7-0.9lbs P per bu.
