Former FBI Director James Comey has been charged with violating 18 US Code 871(a) and 875(c). He could face up to 10 years in jail.

He posted on social media an image of “86 47”, which everyone understands as “kill Trump”.

Don’t let anyone try to gaslight you that 86 means impeachment. It means to terminate, cancel or immediately end. The only origin story I ever heard was that it was a reference to putting someone in a grave 8’ long and 6’ deep. Later restaurants adopted the slang whenever a waitress would inform the chef to “kill” a previous order.
