We have now hit £1m. Yes, we have paid out a total of £1,001,180.63 on grants for a variety of items from wheelchairs, to trikes, to hoists and a whole host of other specialist items. A huge thank you to all the staff @DTD_Club who contribute 1% of their salary to the fund.

Paralysed at 5 from a RTA Elaine needed to move to a powered chair. The only one available from Wheelchair Services was heavy, bulky and unsuitable for use in her home. The OT recommended a light weight chair with powered wheels which @DTDCharity was able to help part-fund.

We were able to help with funding towards a SMOOV. Kelsey writes, 'I went to meet up with friends and for the first time I didn't need someone to meet me at my car and push me to the restaurant. I was also able to take Hamble to some grass instead of asking a friend to do it!'

As a small company charity funded by the staff and management of @DTD_cardroom, the trustees have decided to concentrate the awards we make in the areas local to the staff that fund the charity. From 1/1/21 we will only be covering the East Midlands and the West Midlands.

Our trustees have agreed to expand our geographical coverage to the whole of the UK for a six month trial. We are now welcoming funding applictions from all UK postcodes until the end of July. Check our website for funding criteria and our online initial application form.
