@doctorow He was always an anti-totalitarian hawk, but saw communism as a rising threat post war (& post Leslyn). He reluctantly accepted the label of libertarian on occasion re economics, but was hardly the misogynist, bible thumper, or racist I'd associate with the modern far right.

@doctorow This is a bit of an oversimplification of Heinlein, who ran for office on the democratic ticket and whose earliest novel featured a society based on universal income. The point about the right, though is spot on.

@ImmanentFlux @sage_stage Trade schools are not more $ than traditional HS, but they don't get superintendents hired as US Deputy Sec. of Education. They closed down my construction tech HS because "not enough of them go to college & become architects." so kids lose out on training that leads to BIG $.

@open_sketchbook I only use citadel paints under protest. My game design elective & after school gaming club are burning through the huge batch I was gifted, half because the pots dry out when 13 year olds don't close them properly. Vallejo dropper bottles ftw. Also their flesh tones are awesome.
