Trump war eine false flag Aktion. Er hat seinem MAGA Movement weniger US Kriege versprochen. Es wird spannend zu sehen, wie lange er das politisch noch überlebt! Denn von den Widersprüchen im Inneren, den Zerfall der US-amerikanischen Gesellschaft mangels Aufstiegsversprechen, wird er nicht dauerhaft ablenken können.

Es ist der Abwehrkampf einer Weltmacht, die nochmal versucht mit roher Gewalt ihre Einflusszonen zu sichern, bevor sie dazu nicht mehr in der Lage ist.

Leider sind solche Machtverschiebungen - ob von den Niederländern zu den Briten, den Briten zu den USA und jetzt die neue multipolare Weltordnung mit China -nie ohne militärische Konflikte und zuweilen Katastrophen ausgenommen.

Das friedliche Ende des Kalten Krieges war ein Glücksfall - die Auswirkungen sahen wir später in den Versuchen der USA ihre Einflusszonen weiter auszudehnen und im War on Terror.

Heutzutage sind die technologischen Möglichkeiten der gegenseitigen Vernichtung ungleich größer. Wir können von Glück sprechen, dass China eine geopolitisch weitaus erwachsenere Macht ist als die USA.

Leider hat Europa aber mit wenigen Ausnahmen wie Sanchez keine erwachsenen Führungspersönlichkeiten, die sich vom Rockzipfel der USA lösen.

I’m a Professor (retired), not an American professor, I’m a Professor that got the title through promotion based supposedly on research, teaching, and administrative contributions. But the thing is the title proves nothing. Don’t assume professors are cleverer than you. Assess them on their arguments, not their status. You’d be surprised how stupid some professors are.

@RnaudBertrand From my experience in Chinese academia they prefer to hire people with Ivy League or Oxbridge background (or generally Anglosphere). The best faculty packages usually go to the proverbial and literal old white (English-speaking) men and reproduce Anglosphere elites
