I completely agree and given the research on improved spelling with cursive, well worth exploring for all students of all ages.

I've taught fully cursive to very young children to great effect - but this is about the bigger picture. I consider it folly to teach single letters with lead-ins as if they are 'the print'. This is not print, it is not joined writing, it is neither.

@jackie_french_ As a teacher, it is highly relevant to know what deficits need to be addressed and what part of the continuum the student is sitting on, this informs instruction and expected response to intervention. Parents also need to know what to anticipate.
