I am writing as an international player of Love and Deepspace to share some context that I hope may be helpful when covering the recent discussion surrounding the game and the cancelled character, Ao Yin (敖尹).

I recognize that some concerns raised by players are legitimate topics for discussion. These include criticism of the "A-0731" document that appeared in an earlier storyline, as well as discussion about promotional material for Ao Yin that some players felt raised concerns regarding women's safety. These issues have been widely debated within the community, and I do not wish to dismiss them.

At the same time, I hope your reporting can reflect that the broader public discussion extended beyond these issues alone. As the controversy developed, it also came to include political allegations about Papergames' perceived stance toward Japan. These allegations became part of the online conversation, although there appears to be no publicly verified evidence establishing them as fact.

Ao Yin himself was not directly connected to either the earlier storyline or the political debate. Nevertheless, his cancellation became closely associated with the wider controversy, leaving many players with differing interpretations of why the decision was made.

Players from Singapore, Southeast Asia, the United States, Japan, and many other regions had been looking forward to his story. His cancellation has disappointed many members of the global community, while also drawing attention to the considerable creative effort invested in developing the character.
