Last week, I attended the Africa Investment Forum Markets Days in Rabat, Morocco, from November 26 to 28, 2025. The event was organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) along with six founding partners.
I participated in a high-level ministerial discussion on encouraging private investment by creating favorable conditions, took part in a panel on increasing investments through public-private partnerships, and attended a session focused on mobilizing domestic capital for Africa's growth.
During a roundtable with potential global investors, I shared in-depth information about Zamfara State's advantages in the agricultural sector. I highlighted our history as an agrarian society and our position as the leading producer of various crops.
Furthermore, I invited investors to Zamfara, assuring them that my government is in the final stage of completing an international cargo airport, developing a five-star hotel, and initiating major urban renewal projects to foster a pro-investment environment.
@renoomokri You need to take your drugs Mr man, your obsession with @PeterObi is increasing your mental derailment😢 United Nation building is just situated on American soil and not American properties.
MY COMMITMENT TO A GREATER PLATEAU: DELIVERING ON TRANSPORTATION, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
With gratitude and renewed resolve, I reflect on our shared journey toward a Greater Plateau. Alongside my Deputy, Her Excellency Ngo Josephine Piyo, we’ve commissioned critical projects across key sectors to improve lives and restore pride in our state.
From the unveiling of Metro Buses 2.0,brand new, state-funded, and built to ease the effects of fuel subsidy removal
to the revitalization of the Plateau Express Service, our focus remains on people-first governance. Today, over 9,000 commuters benefit daily, and we are scaling up.
We’ve also invested in healthcare, commissioning a new lab, paediatric ward, and office complex at the Specialist Hospital, Jos positioning it as a regional hub. General hospitals across all 17 LGAs are also undergoing upgrades, with expanded health insurance coverage.
At the Utonkon–Abattoir Road, we completed a bridge project abandoned for 8 years, delivering lasting impact not just continuity. Over 3,000km of roads are currently being evaluated.
We’re transforming education too, with new infrastructure at Plateau Polytechnic and a plan to upgrade it into a University of Science & Technology, backed by a merit-based recruitment policy.
From Dachom Road to Nanmwa Junction, to signed MOUs on Jos Airport cargo upgrades and railway restoration talks, we are positioning Plateau for national and global relevance.
These are not federal handouts they are outcomes of transparent, prudent leadership. We’re doing more with less, because we believe our people deserve better.
This is just the beginning.
Together, we move Plateau forward.
God bless Plateau State.
God bless Nigeria.
