Due to a technology issue, GCPS high schools will dismiss 30 mins later than schedules. Dismissal for elementary and middle schools will not be affected and those schools will follow their usual dismissal times.
GCPS experienced a technology issue this morning that affected the first final exam testing period for high school students. In order to ensure students have ample time to finish their final exams, all GCPS high schools will dismiss 30 mins later than originally scheduled today.

Britley will go on to compete for the GCPS CTE student of the year award and represent Lanier High School at the GCPS CTE student of the year banquet in the spring. Congratulations Britley!
Congratulations to Britley Jones, Lanier High School's 2018 CTE Student of the Year. This award recognizes a current CTE student who exemplifies the mission of Career and Technical Education, and who shows outstanding CTE professional commitment and promise.
Britley is also the President of DECA, one of the many Career and Technical Student Organizations we have at Lanier. In addition to being named Lanier's CTE student of the year,
Lanier Longhorns, coats and blankets are needed during the cold winter season to help those in need. Algie’s House of Refuge Inc. is a local non-profit organization that is accepting gentle used adult coats, blankets, and other donations to help homeless men and families in need.
