Every time a bottle, food pack, nylon bag, or any waste is thrown from a vehicle onto the road, it may seem insignificant. However, when thousands of people do the same, our streets become littered, drainage channels become blocked, and the environment suffers.
What you throw away today can contribute to:
Flooding caused by blocked drains and waterways.
Environmental pollution and unpleasant surroundings.
Health risks from disease-causing pests and contaminated water.
Increased government spending on waste evacuation and road maintenance.
A negative image of our beautiful city.
A clean Lagos is not the responsibility of government alone - it is a duty we all share. Dispose of your waste properly, keep a waste bag in your vehicle, and use designated waste bins.
What you do: Throw waste on the road.
What you cause: Pollution, flooding, and environmental degradation.
What you should do: Keep your waste until you find a proper bin.
Keep Lagos Clean. Protect the Environment. Save Lives.

New road, new opportunities! 🛣️
A key expressway has been competed in just 8 months in Abuja with the engineering skills of a Chinese firm.
As HE Bola Tinubu, President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, put it, the expressway will help unlock Abuja's economic potentials by improving mobility, creating opportunities for businesses and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

TROOPS OF 12 BRIGADE FOIL TERRORISTS’ ATTEMPT TO ABDUCT SCHOOL CHILDREN IN KOGI STATE
Troops of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army under 2 Division Nigerian Army have foiled an attempted abduction of pupils at Iluke Community in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, thwarting the plans of terrorists who disguised themselves in military uniforms to carry out the attack.
The successful operation was conducted on 10 June 2026 following credible information provided by vigilant members of the community who alerted troops on patrol to the activities of the terrorists within the area. Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the troops immediately mobilised and advanced to the community to prevent the criminals from achieving their objective.
On arrival, troops discovered that the terrorists had already assembled pupils of Iluke Primary School with the intention of abducting them. Without delay, the troops engaged the terrorists, compelling them to abandon their mission and flee the area. During the encounter, one terrorist was neutralised while several others escaped with gunshot injuries upon the approach and engagement by the troops.
Sadly, before the arrival of troops, the terrorists had killed a teacher and a resident of the community. Their actions further underscore the criminal and inhumane nature of the terrorists who continue to target innocent civilians.
The prompt response of the troops prevented what could have been a large scale abduction of school children and undoubtedly saved many lives. The operation also reflects the commitment, vigilance and professionalism of troops of 12 Brigade in safeguarding lives and protecting vulnerable communities across the Brigade’s area of responsibility.
Troops are currently in pursuit of the fleeing bandits. Additionally, considering the interconnected nature of the community to adjoining Kwarra and Niger State, other security outfits in the neighbouring state have been intimated to block fleeing bandits. Other measures aimed at denying terrorists freedom of action, reassuring residents and preventing any further attacks have been emplaced. Members of the public are encouraged to continue supporting security agencies with timely and credible information to enhance ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

I’m proud of him for this statement.
Nigerians stand with your government, country and people. We have an enemy that wants to bring us all down, regardless of your political party, religion or tribe.
Working together is the only way out of this.
Meet Yusufa, Hafizu and Audu — and their innocent, cheeky smiles.
These pre-teen boys are street beggars I encountered a few days ago in Abuja.
Away from home.
Away from school.
Away from safety, dignity and childhood itself.
They are from Mashi, Katsina State.
Their Local Government Chairman is Salisu Kallah Mashi.
Their representative in the Katsina State House of Assembly is Hon. Sani Bello Mustapha.
Their representative in the House of Representatives is Hon. Majigiri Salisu Yusuf.
Their Senator is Distinguished Senator Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura.
Their Governor is His Excellency Dikko Umaru Radda.
The President of their country is His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Every one of these elected officials swore an oath to protect children like Yusufa, Hafizu and Audu.
To protect their dignity.
To secure their future.
To ensure they have access to education, safety and opportunity.
But because #AlmajiranchiIsChildAbuse, these children have been failed.
Failed by leaders who refuse to enforce Nigeria’s Child Rights Act (2003), which clearly states:
“No child shall be used for the purpose of begging for alms…”
And we, as a society, have also failed them — by normalising this exploitation, looking away, and refusing to hold our leaders accountable.
Child begging is not culture.
It is not tradition.
IT IS CHILD ABUSE.
We must advocate to #BanAlmajiranchiNow.

The Akpoha–Afikpo stretch is part of the Calabar- Ebonyi- Benue Nasarawa–Abuja Superhighway. It’s a clear sign of how Nigeria’s road network is evolving.
When they ask you what Tinubu is doing in the SOUTHEAST, plaster their face with this video and remind them that as a WAWA person whose mother was married well, you're too wise to waste your VOTE on a chameleon like Peter obi and his promise of eldorado that he couldn't achieve as Governor of Anambra for 8yrs.

I am not an expert in power, but this is my understanding. I would like to know whether power experts agree or disagree.
This is my summary
1. Nigeria needs massive investment in power infrastructure
2. Nigeria and Nigerians can't fund this investment because it's in USD; turbines and natural gas
3. To attract investment in Nigerian power, the tariffs paid by the Nigerian consumers have to go up.
4. Nigerian consumers can't afford higher power tariffs.
5. In other nations, the government will subsidize the power cost via subsidies, so that consumers can pay lower today but higher tomorrow as they boost consumption and investment due to power availability.
6. Nigeria also subsidized power to consumers via the Multi-Year Tariff Order MYTO); however, as the MYTO is winding down, the consumers' incomes have fallen, thus it's very hard to raise power tariffs
7. If tariffs don't rise, investors or $ won't come
8. If investors don't come, power generation and distribution will not improve, meaning fewer users of grid power and a higher average power cost.
9. The critical issue is the cost of power paid by consumers, and thus tariffs

Today in Abuja, I successfully concluded the APC governorship screening exercise and have been officially cleared to participate in the Lagos State governorship primaries scheduled for 21st May, 2026.
I was honoured to be accompanied by traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders, and opinion leaders from Badagry Division, whose presence reflected the growing belief and support for this journey across our communities.
As the process continues, I remain focused, encouraged, and deeply connected to the grassroots.
