The class was doing a literature circle about a book they were reading today.
I didn’t know much about the book, but it was cool to see the class discuss it! They’re a very extroverted group of kids, which made the circle much more interesting and fun! #edchat #tap2026 @PVHStap

A student opened up to me about a student who has been making uncomfortable jokes towards him and his friend. I let him talk to me about it while I assisted him with work. I suggested to him to go to the teacher and explain the situation. (Which he did). #edchat #tap2026 @PVHStap

The idea behind “The Fridge” was simple. It was to make the bulletin board interactive, where students can show off their personal best works that they’ve done for school this year. It is meant to look like a refrigerator with different fruits inside! #edchat #tap2026 @PVHStap

An 8th grader was on his computer during the 15 minutes to read, and it’s a consistant struggle for him to pick up a book and actually read. When my co-op took his computer, I could tell he was upset, so I offered to help him find a fun book, which really he appreciated. @PVHStap

Today, I assisted a student during placement. But throughout, I really struggled with describing prepositional phrases to her, so I was going back to the teacher to ask if I was showing her correctly. Turns out, I was overthinking. I was doing it right!

An eighth grader went up to the teacher on Wednesday. She had typed a poem that she wanted to show her. The teacher wanted her to show me. When reading, I instantly felt an emotional connection to it. She seemed glad when I told her how heartfelt the poem was. #tap2026 #edchat :)

Being in TAP has been good so far. The lessons we did were great and seeing everyone in the class with their own lesson and teaching styles was really nice. It definietly opened my eyes to how its okay to make mistakes and how we’re in it together. @PVHStap #tap2026
