All eyes are now on @CarrollJennifer to ACT NOW
The Irish health service @hse are defending the sexual abuse of babies on your watch. This scandal is now the front page of the paper.
You are the minister for health Jennifer. Do something, NOW!!
@FineGael
Interesting that Virgin Media One television this morning is excluding Irish Daily Mail from its summary of what's in the newspaper headlines today. I wonder why?
“So to recap, this charlatan is being invited to promote male breastfeeding by an NGO which receives a healthy chunk of your tax money each year. It’s part of an unconscionably bloated NGO sector, which costs us almost €11 billion to run.”
Babies are not props for men to use for personal gratification, nor should they ever be.
Anyone attending that conference should call this out for what it is - child abuse.
Courage calls to courage.

This letter was sent to the The Ardilaun Hotel in Galway tonight. I was very clear that I do not endorse cancel culture. This however, is a child safeguarding issue that cannot be ignored.
________
Formal Complaint Regarding ALCI Conference – Child Safeguarding Concerns
Dear General Manager,
I am writing to formally raise serious concerns regarding the Association of Lactation Consultants in Ireland (ALCI) National Conference, which is due to be hosted at The Ardilaun Hotel on 9–10 October 2026.
I am a mother who breastfed my two children and the founder of the Natural Women’s Council, an organisation campaigning for the safety and wellbeing of women, children and families. We have broad outreach across every county in Ireland, and our subscribers have expressed serious concern regarding this event and one of its invited speakers.
According to the Irish Daily Mail report published on 27 August 2026, ALCI has invited Jacob Engelsman to speak on “Lactation Support for Gender-Diverse Families”. The report states that Mr Engelsman specialises in helping men induce lactation for “curiosity, fun, or sexual gratification” and refers to a previous presentation of his entitled “Inducing Lactation for Kinksters.”
I want to make one point very clear: we do not endorse “cancel culture”, nor are we seeking to prevent people from expressing views with which we disagree. Our purpose in contacting you is quite different. We believe that, as the venue hosting this event, you should be made aware of serious child-safeguarding concerns that you may not previously have known about and given the opportunity to consider them appropriately.
The issue is particularly serious because the subject matter involves newborn infants, who are incapable of consent and entirely dependent upon adults for their protection and welfare.
An infant must never be used as a means of fulfilling an adult’s sexual, personal or experimental desires.
The reported description of helping men induce lactation for “sexual gratification” raises an obvious safeguarding question when considered alongside the possibility of an infant being encouraged to suck at that adult’s nipple. Whatever an adult’s identity or motivation, the welfare, dignity and protection of the child must come first.
I find it deeply concerning that such material is being presented within a professional conference concerned with infant feeding, and I believe the hotel should be aware of this context when considering the event it is hosting.
I fully appreciate that hosting a conference does not necessarily constitute endorsement of every speaker, opinion or subject discussed. However, once credible concerns relating to child safeguarding have been brought to the attention of the venue, it is reasonable to expect those concerns to be taken seriously and considered by hotel management.
I therefore ask The Ardilaun Hotel to:
1. Confirm that management is aware of the concerns outlined above.
2. Confirm whether the hotel has a policy or procedure for considering safeguarding concerns relating to events it hosts.
3. Confirm whether these concerns will be raised with ALCI.
4. Confirm whether the hotel will review the appropriateness of hosting the event in light of the safeguarding concerns raised.
5. Confirm whether any specific safeguarding assessment has been undertaken in relation to this event.
To be clear, this is not a demand that the hotel police opinions or engage in “cancel culture”. It is a request that you exercise appropriate due diligence when a serious concern regarding the potential involvement and welfare of newborn children has been brought to your attention.
As a mother, I believe this is something any responsible organisation should take seriously.
We are not asking you to take a position on wider questions concerning gender identity. The issue is much simpler and more fundamental:
Newborn children cannot consent. Their welfare and protection must take precedence over adult preferences, including sexual preferences.
I would appreciate a substantive response from hotel management explaining how these concerns will be addressed.
I also raised the matter with the relevant professional, safeguarding and public authorities.
Yours sincerely,
Jana Lunden

@PeterPaulGuy@MDCMRKC I’ve been told they don’t even need to complete it just register and start it and it’s enough to get the job. They just don’t bother finishing then.
