@onquietwatch Lucy sat up straighter and placed a loving kiss to Tim's cheek, she had a feeling he needed comfort more than he needed words. She placed her arm around his neck and slowly ran her fingers through his hair. "I love you, more than food."
"You are right, I am yours." Lucy looked up at him, with a playful smile before turning back to the TV and their favorite cooking show. "Relax, your food is safe."
The man playfully flinched when he felt her fingers on the back of her hand, instantly thinking she was going to take his food away from him. “Hands off. Mine.” He mumbled, stuffing his face.
@onquietwatch Lucy learned early on that Tim's biggest fear was being like his father and, in their job, it was a line which was hard to walk. "You are not that person anymore. All the work you've done....You are a good man."
@onquietwatch "Hey....it's fine." Lucy placed her hand over Tim's cheek, she could tell she hit a sore spot because his first reaction was to be defensive. "I get why you did it. It wasn't fun at the time but I understood it."
@onquietwatch Lucy took a deep breath, sometimes she hated how much she loved him and his smile was one of her favorite things about him. "I do not! I still remember how much you terrorized me when I was a rookie." She sighed, at the time she couldn't wait to get rid of him.
@onquietwatch Lucy gave Tim a slightly shocked look, before a pout formed on her lips. "I will remember that." She stated, looking back towards the TV. "And I love you too." She mumbled just loud enough for him to hear.
@onquietwatch "Hey, you can blame my mom for that." Lucy replied with a shrug, then suddenly looked up with a raised eyebrow. "Wait....Are you saying you wouldn't share your food with me?"
"You never know, weirder things have happened." Lucy winked at Tim as she reached out for his hand. She slowly moved her fingers over the back of his hand while turning on the TV.
“You inhaled that like a chubby kid at a candy store, it wasn’t going to grow legs and run off, you know?” He teased further as he sunk into the couch before tucking into his own food, keeping it well away from prying fingers of Lucy.
Lucy looked up at Tim, with a mouthfull of sushi, rolling her eyes at his comment. She placed the box down on the coffee table and leaned against him. She swallowed her food and cleared her throat before speaking. "I am breathing but it's just sooo good."
Shortly after making himself something to eat, Tim returned to the lounge and walked around the couch before sitting down next to Lucy. “You do know you have to breathe between mouthfuls of food?” He teased, laughing.
Lucy's smile grew at Tim's answer, she had missed him all day. "Deal!" She crossed her legs underneath herself and leaned back on the couch, the box of sushi in her lap.
Letting out a playful groan as he dropped his head back. “No puppy dog eyes.” Tim mumbled, knowing full well that got him to do absolutely anything. “Give me 5 and I’ll come join you.”
"I can think of a few times...." Lucy took a bite of a salmon sushi to hide her grin. "Will you come join me, after, or do I need to resort to puppy dog eyes?"
“When do I ever complain?” He asked, glancing over his shoulder at her. “No, no it’s fine. You just enjoy that, I’ll make myself something, it’s fine.”
A small laugh escaped his lips as he shook his head. “You really are something.” Tim commented before pushing off against the wall. “Enjoy your sushi.” He said as he headed into the kitchen.
"It really does, especially the way I do it." Lucy swallowed her food and grabbed another sushi, leaning back on the couch. "Plus, you had a long shift, you need an extra long shower."
“I did.” He said with a small nod but then raised his brow, looking at said sushi in his hand. “I think you’ll be the one need the energy.” He commented back. “Here, take it.”
