@ITimbrell The old bicycle shop on Regent st - great food there. Or go along bridge street/Magdalene street/ quayside - there’s some nice pubs and places to eat there And just wander through the centre and down kings parade if you want to be a proper tourist!
@parkrunUK Me! 👍👍 went to wimpole. First one in years and only my fifth ever. Loved it! Took me ages but it’s spurred me on to get back to running more, and I’ll definitely go to wimpole again! Thanks to parkrun and the volunteers.
All eligible members in England will receive an email and text tonight about a pay offer from Government.
We don’t think it’s good enough and are recommending members vote to reject it.

An utterly heartbreaking news story.
A life lost.
School leaders work and live under inordinate levels of pressure and expectation.
Everybody wants schools to be as good as possible but the inspection process and culture don't need to be like this.

@brassoteach I had a y11 start singing shaggys ‘it wasn’t me’ yesterday when I was questioning a group about who had done something annoying… lots joined in immediately and I couldn’t help but smile and laugh with them - game over! 😂
I said that actions speak louder than words. I was wrong.
These words mean more than any uttered before. They show the unfiltered view of the profession you claimed to support. Part of me wanted to believe you did admire teachers, but that was never true was it?
It hurts, ‘Sir’
@thosethatcan@NEUnion Totally agree. Very well put - thank you. I’m also a proud longtime @NEUnion member and school rep. This is a big decision but a necessary one. 💪
