I just emailed around 400 people asking them too contact their US Rep and 2 US Senators to promote a joint resolution:

Trump granted security clearance to Kushner, overriding advice by intelligence professionals. While Congress can't legislate what happens in the Whitehouse, I suggest a joint resolution by the house and Senate with wording like this could modify it's behavior:

The real eemergency is that we have a President that has been compromised by the Russians and hands out security clearances like candy to at least 30 staff unable to qualify for clearance according to press reports. Exhibit one of this problem is Jared Kushner.

The US faces existential threat that requires a legislative fix. Please ask your reps to propose the following: "No party shall be allowed to put forth as it's candidate for President or Vice President unless he/she has been approved for the highest security clearances".

@SenJoniErnst You are so right. I am a centrist Iowan - Raised Republican, Registered Dem. I pay attention and vote for those who serve us and represent us. It really is unconscionable that 2 years of unified Republican government hasn't managed to get it done.
