Heartbroken over Charlie Kirk. He took young people seriously, listened to their opinions, and did his best to exemplify Christian principles. Prayers for his family. Such a senseless loss of a leader.

Played the Catholic folk mass years ago with pop and Christian music and most Catholics would sing those songs. As a Protestant, I was able to bring in a group of young musicians to lead worship who didn’t attend traditional church.
A lot of Christian contemporary music is deeply personal and people relate. When churches follow the liturgical calendar and offer music that is removed from the Christ relationship, like the dark Advent songs no one knows, then no one sings. While I love the old hymns there is room for both.
