Native DAI on Starknet is non-upgradable, and as a result, it will stop functioning following the planned network upgrade known as "Regenesis."

Transition to new bridged DAI:

Following the deprecation of the current DAI version on Starknet due to the Regenesis upgrade, this old DAI on Starknet will be replaced by a new DAI version bridged through Starknet’s standard bridge.

Action Required: Transfer or Migrate Your DAI.

We strongly encourage all DAI users on Starknet to transfer or migrate their DAI before the Regenesis deployment. There are two options:

• Available now: Transfer your DAI from Starknet to Ethereum Layer 1 (L1) through https://t.co/5Er47jbJLE. This is the less cost-effective option. With this option, you can transfer your DAI out of Starknet before deploying the new DAI version on Starknet.

• Available within 10 days: A migration tool for all DAI users on Starknet will be available within the next 10 days. This new service, operated by @layerswap, will enable DAI holders on Starknet to migrate their old DAI to the new DAI version on Starknet. This is the most cost-effective option. With this option you will immediately receive new wrapped DAI, ensuring uninterrupted functionality on Starknet. We will keep you updated on the availability and details of this new migration tool within the next 10 days.

Please be assured that no funds are at risk during this process. The Maker Protocol and native DAI on Ethereum and other L2 networks will remain unaffected by Starknet's upcoming upgrade. The version of DAI being deprecated by Regenesis is solely the one available natively on Starknet, identified by the current contract address 0x00da114221cb83fa859dbdb4c44beeaa0bb37c7537ad5ae66fe5e0efd20e6eb3.

Beware of Scams:

Be cautious and avoid clicking on suspicious links that claim to provide solutions for upgrading your DAI on Starknet. Only use official decentralized application front-ends that offer secure transfers from Starknet to other networks.
