So I’ve heard that at some point in the sleep-deprived, puke-ridden, diaper bonanza that is raising babies and toddlers that eventually the exhaustion fades and you start to feel normal again? Is this true? If so, I’m going to need a date to mark on my calendar.
Thank you @elonmusk! It was a pleasure to join @MarioNawfal & @KatalinNovak_HU for this deep discussion on the reality of Population Collapse. More conversations like this are urgently needed.
Watch Part 1 of the #Birthgap documentary, as mentioned in the interview, here on X:
@KevZCastle In Abdullah’s defence, he went to gr 2, so I imagine he can read at a gr 2 level.
My dad has lived in North America for 50 yrs, Speaks English fluently. Cannot spell. Reads poorly. He can read a menu, social media. A court document though? He also has a successful business.
Mom of one, being left at home alone with a newborn for 24 hours
My husband “ I am so so sorry. I promise I will make it up to you. I’m so sorry.”
Mom of three, being left at home alone with a newborn for 24 hours
My husband “ Enjoy your break!”
What I’ve learned being a mom of 3 under 3 for the last 2 weeks:
1. It’s hard.
2. Taking life day by day is essential.
3. Staying on top of housework also essential.
4. Seriously, 2 loads of laundry / day. Same with dishwasher.
5. So many diapers…
6. My husband is still the best
What I’ve learned being a mom of 2 under 2 for the last 10 days:
1. It’s very rare to have both children content at the same time.
2. My 1.5 year old cries more than my newborn.
3. At any given moment, it’s safe to assume someone needs a diaper change.
4. My husband is the best.
Pregnancy has got to be the most glamourized thing that is actually not glamorous at all. Three pregnancies in and I’m just realizing now that I’ve been duped.
@Cernovich Maybe this is a Western thing? My parents are both “boomer” generation and have always been there for us in any way possible even at great personal sacrifice to themselves. Everything they’ve achieved was for us and will ultimately be ours. And set an example for me w my own kids
@jesse_kleine More supply in “middle class” housing. Like, 1000-1500 sq ft homes with a small yard that is actually attainable for a first time home buyer who could start a family and be content there really if and only if they choose to upgrade.
It has taken me an absurdly long time to read through the first 4 books of the Bible. Now I’m in Deuteronomy and I’m entering a time of victory and praise and joy and hope after a long period of hardship and obedience. As a parent, I love every piece of wisdom imparted by Moses.
@iconawrites And weddings.
We chose to welcome children at ours. Even though someone’s kid started having a meltdown during our vows I still don’t regret it. Kids are part of marriage, part of life, and we were hoping they would be part of ours someday. Seemed like a bad precedent to set.
@SMB_Attorney I went to high school in the mid-2000s, all the jocks still live at home, and pretty much everyone else for that matter.
Husband’s high school, he was a “jock”and apart from him and a select few jock friends, everyone else is doing nothing substantial and living at home as well.
