Meet Alena Analeigh McQuarter, a 17-year-old phenomenon and unstoppable young queen rewriting history in STEM and medicine! 👏🏽
At just 13 years old, she made history as the youngest Black student ever accepted into a U.S. medical school (University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine).
Now at 17, this powerhouse has already achieved what most only dream of:
• Graduated high school at 12
• Earned her Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and Master’s in Biological Sciences (both Summa Cum Laude) from Arizona State University by age 15
• Became the youngest person of color to intern at NASA (at just 12)
• Founded The Brown STEM Girl and The Brown STEM Girl Foundation — creating scholarships, mentorship programs, and global opportunities for girls of color in STEM
• Conducting advanced research in cancer immunology, virology, and global health
• Pursuing her PhD in Integrated Biomedical Sciences (focus on infection, immunity & inflammation) at Loma Linda University while on the path to her MD/PhD
• Initiated into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. as one of the youngest members
From Texas to NASA to the frontiers of medicine — Alena’s journey is a powerful testament to discipline, brilliance, and purpose. She’s not just breaking barriers… she’s building bridges for every young Black girl behind her.
Her story is a powerful one. Keep shining, Queen! 👏🏽

Bud Crawford on Pivot: "Money can make you or break you.
We don't know financial. We're not taught that in school." That's the gap.
Young boxers, artists, founders — they get the bag with no playbook.
By the time they wake up, it's too late.
This is why I do what I do.
Your paycheck can disappear faster than your habits.
Do you even know where your money is going?
How much do you spend on groceries every month or electricity or transportation or your cell phone bill or streaming services or apps or subscriptions?
Figure it out, today.
Tia and Jasmin Criss, seniors at Cheyney University, the oldest historically Black university in the country, are less than two weeks away from graduating as valedictorian and salutatorian.
Just three minutes older than Jasmine, Tia said the honors of being named class valedictorian and salutatorian "just happened."
The twin sisters are graduates of Philadelphia High School for Girls. They credit their parents for giving them the discipline to aim high.
Middle school students in Mississippi kept their school bus from crashing after their driver passed out while on a four-lane highway.
The bus had about 40 children on board when Leah Taylor had an asthma attack. She reached for her medication but blacked out before she could get it.
Reports say Iowa State transfer Audi Crooks is in for a $1.4 Million payday at Oklahoma State.
That would make Crooks the Third HIGHEST PAID Women's Basketball player IN THE WORLD this year (behind A'Ja Wilson & Aliyah Boston) (via @SkimMilkey)
Nobody talks about after you “level up.”
More money, more problems… just with better branding.
No structure? Congrats, you unlocked premium stress.
I had to pause and rebuild: money, credit, decisions.
Boring, but it works.
That’s how you stay in the game.

I had a plan, or so I thought.
Everything felt lined up… until life tested it.
Plans are easy. Discipline shows up when things break. Weak plans collapse. Strong systems adapt.
I adjusted fast: cut expenses, rethink income, no more autopilot.
Building that now. Message ADAPT
Most people don’t have bad credit because they’re reckless, they’re guessing.
Random disputes, blind payoffs, closing accounts, all guessing.
Simple rule:
👉 Stop doing random things
👉 Start doing the right things in the right order

Your credit utilization is the silent killer.
How much you use matters.
$1,000 limit, $900 balance? Problem, even on-time.
Lenders see “stretched” and your score drops.
Stay under 30%, under 10% is better.
Fastest way to gain points.
No tricks, just discipline.

Quick truth: paying off a collection doesn’t automatically fix your credit.
Damage is already done. Done wrong, you can reset the timeline and make it worse.
Not everything should be paid or disputed right away.
This is chess, not checkers.
