@RollingStone@gomdorichick All BTS ever wanted was an equal platform and respect. Will the West ever respect not just BTS but other countries? I can't say. But what we know for sure is that BTS has built themselves a platform & audience that not many artists inc Western can have. They've their loyal ARMYs.
@RollingStone It's not a boycott. They demand nothing. They simple said NO. They simply refuse to be used and abused by western biased and prejudiced institutions anymore.
Their validation comes from sold out stadiums, record breaking sales, billions of streams of their music, and their fans.
Yeees! They can do that. One or more Grammys wouldn’t add a thing to their status as the greatest and the best, nor would they affect their earnings, self-confidence, or need for public validation. They already have all of that. And no institution, media outlet, or hater can take it away from them. Nothing can destroy what has been built on a foundation of talent, hard work, and unwavering authenticity.

“To me, [BTS’ decision] signals that they have reached a point in their career where they no longer feel the need to seek validation from Western institutions."
