@JBay_AllTheWay How do single sales affect album sales? I’m shocked No Name Face is only 2x with Hanging By a Moment hitting number one on so many different charts like it did.
@bonhoefferchild@JosiahHawthorne And to be clear at this point she was “married” to him… but she would have either been part of his harem as just a person or queen (and essentially the same but with some more respect)… or am I horribly misreading? If so… how?
@bonhoefferchild@JosiahHawthorne I guess I ask because the beginning of Esther always feels so contradictory to our modern morals (obviously our morals have some issues in some aspects or situations we haven’t dealt with). And their explanation makes the intent different than it was but what we say is odd too.
@bonhoefferchild@JosiahHawthorne Honest question I promise, but didn’t she kind of? She was chosen (not her will) so it wasn’t on purpose but if she wasn’t chosen she was a part of the king’s harem right? And she slept with him before being picked, right?
@mikeharvat The comics tend to be teen/R rated more often than not. The kids cartoon is honestly almost its own separate thing with the same exact names in a way.
The last ronin is a newer comic and is a really popular story. Probably the most popular TMNT comic.
@GilesLMcKenzie No, it’s not… it’s used to literally mean on fire/flaming. (2co 2:11, Eph 6:16, 2pm 3:12, rev 1:15, rev 3:18). It’s never used to mean lust. There’s no word in that verse that actually mentions lust in any way nor a word that talks about sex. That’s all assumed by us.
@GilesLMcKenzie Burn is a metaphor for love/passion not just lust. To assume that Paul was saying if you’re consumed w/ lust just get married to solve that is silly (and bad advice/contradictory) but for him to say if you’re consumed w/ love/passion, then get married makes complete sense.
@GilesLMcKenzie No, because if a person is unable to control themselves, then marriage isn’t gonna help. If one understands, they don’t have the ability to not be overcome with longing (not lust) then marriage is right. But “I can’t control myself” is a reason no one should marry a person.
@GilesLMcKenzie I believe that while it is good for most to get married, it is better for those who can abstain to abstain and focus on the Kingdom. Exactly as the Bible says.
@GilesLMcKenzie Yes, and that is the exact thought that contradicts the word of God. Everyone should does in fact contradict what Paul said. It even contradicts common sense. It’s impossible that every person in every situation should partner up with someone.
@GilesLMcKenzie But that’s what I’m saying… the way Paul says it almost exactly is pretty much the only way that it can be sad that it doesn’t invalidate scripture.
The way you’re saying it is contradicting what Paul said. Especially the very first way you said it.
