@AndrewCMcCarthy 2.The problem is that there has been NO deterrence. But Trump 2.0 is trying to go from 0% to 100% too quickly. BUT it does have to be more than just the criminal aliens being targeted or there is still no deterrence for the illegal alien who has no crime xcpt being here illegally

@AndrewCMcCarthy 1. I agree w/ much of the article. Deterrence is key. We need enough police writing traffic tickets for speeding to put some fear into all of us not to speed (too much:-) ). Likewise with immigration enforcement (but with a little less tolerance than we allow for speeding).

@whignewtons @DavidAFrench Re: how did Trump control the border w/out congressional action? The most powerful weapon law-enforcement has is deterrence. When you campaign (Biden) on not deporting anyone there is no deterrence. It works the same with speeding. Very simple.

My message to georgia emergency management and homeland security agency:

An emergency alert to phones re: #chlorine gas—but no recommend action? If it’s enough of an emergency to send the alert, shouldn’t there be a recommended action to take? @wsbtv @FOX5Atlanta @11AliveNews
