CES 2025 just started, and we’re already seeing incredible tech.
Here're 20 most impressive reveals of CES 2025 so far:
1. Halliday Glasses: 3.5-inch AI smart glasses
FOV isn't going to onboard the next million VR users.
Content will.
Meta brought their Boba 3 to SIGGRAPH (FOV ~180 vs Quest 3 ~109).
Its just a prototype, and it matters less than people think.
VR never had an immersion problem - people fell in love back in the DK1 era.
Form factor improvements help adoption, like the shift from PCVR to wireless inside out tracking (and a 80% cost reduction) was meaningful.
What really matters:
- In headset exclusive content, mostly games
- strong retention loops + social
- shorts/tiktok distribution
The next wave of users will buy a headset after watching VR content on Youtube, not after reading a hardware spec sheet.
