@cterlson I think it was Elmore Leonord who never used anything but he said & she said. May have the wrong guy but I think it was him.

@MisterChilidog @slater57649 The Moody Blues got their share of big audiences, but they also got something else: people who started coming because they thought the Moody Blues knew "The Answer", and "The Meaning of Life", & so on. Finally, they had to pen a song: "I'm just a singer in a rock n' roll band..."

@slater57649 (Cont-) What I learned: Never say the words, at a music festival, "It sounds like he's singing with a mouth full of root beer," just in case the audience suddenly falls silent and it goes out clear as a bell to the whole auditorium. Sorry Bob.

@slater57649 Bob Dylan. My daughter bought tickets to some kind of raffle on the radio without telling us, and we bucked million-to-1 odds, and won. It was when Bob was going thru his Sing Every Song So It Is Completely Unrecognizable / Turn Your Back On the Audience phase. (Cont-)

Reviews that warm this writer's heart (like a lot): "As someone who loves the tight, focused stories of the Gold Medal paperbacks, it’s a joy to find a book like Craig Terlson's SAYULITA SUCKER in today’s marketplace. No fluff. No filler. Just 130ish pages of Grade-A storytelling that kept me riveted from start to finish." https://t.co/5JiyOv9K4U
