@RobSomerville1 I am a PhD nutritionist from MN small independent company. Hiring someone for your work is very useful but you need to be willing and able to accept change. If your nutritionist simply balances a ration and leaves it there, you aren't getting your money back.

@embdenhaymaker They are likely selenium deficient. If you aren't already doing so, a dose of BoSe at birth may correct your problem. Chances are if these came from anywhere west of aberdeen, they were raised in a high selenium area and they will require more than your standard mineral dose

@BeauKlug The IA State calculator is an interesting tool. My own math, using a 4-6% improvement in efficiency (would be more this year) shows a slat barn will pay off for finishing, but a bed pack barn is break even at best
