Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, thank You for the gift of this new day. Thank You for preserving me through the night and bringing me into another morning by Your mercy.

Today, I establish my day under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Lord, take control of my mind, my plans, my decisions, my work, my relationships, my finances and everything that concerns me.

Direct my steps. Order my priorities. Lead me according to Your will.

Holy Spirit, guide me today. Give me wisdom to recognise divine opportunities, discernment to avoid distractions, and sensitivity to know when to move, when to wait and when to remain still.

Let Your Word govern my thoughts. Let faith speak louder than fear, wisdom louder than confusion, and Your promises louder than my circumstances.

Clothe me with the whole armour of God. Strengthen me for every assignment and give me grace for every responsibility before me.

Go before me and make the crooked places straight. Prepare the way. Order my conversations. Establish the work of my hands and let everything I do bring glory to Your Name.

I was reading Genesis and found myself sitting with the story of Rachel and Leah much longer than I expected.

The more I read it, the more I realized this story is not just about two women. It is about the mysteries of God's dealings with people.

Jacob loved Rachel.

Leah lived every day knowing it.

Imagine sharing a home with someone who is committed to you, but whose heart belongs somewhere else. Imagine watching another woman receive the affection, attention and tenderness you long for.

Leah knew she was accepted, but she also knew she was not preferred.

Then the Bible says:

“When the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb.” — Genesis 29:31

That statement stopped me.

God sees the places where people hurt.

He sees the wounds hidden behind smiles. He sees the gaps nobody talks about. He sees what people overlook.

When God saw Leah's pain, He stepped into that place.

But then something else happened.

Rachel, the woman Jacob loved, was barren.

The woman who had his heart could not have children.

The woman who looked like she was winning was carrying a pain nobody could see.

And suddenly I realized that God was dealing with these two women differently because their needs were different.

Leah needed reassurance that she was seen.

Rachel needed to learn that being loved by a man and being fruitful before God are not the same thing.

And I think many of us are Rachel.

Not because everything in our lives is perfect, but because there are areas where God has been extraordinarily kind to us.

We know we are loved.

We know God has helped us.

We know His hand has been upon us.

Yet there is still one prayer that seems delayed.

One promise that seems stuck.

One door that refuses to open.

One area of our lives where the heavens seem silent.

Rachel watched Leah give birth again and again while she remained barren.

Can you imagine watching somebody else receive in months what you have been praying for over years?

Celebrating other people's testimonies while secretly asking God, “What about me?”

And then there are the Peninahs of life—people who make your waiting even more painful. People who measure your worth by what you have produced. People who make you feel as though God's timing is God's rejection.

But Scripture keeps showing us something powerful.

Hannah waited for Samuel.

Elizabeth waited for John the Baptist.

Rachel waited for Joseph.

God was not late.

He was working according to a purpose they could not yet see.

Sometimes we interpret a closed door as rejection when God calls it preparation.

We interpret delay as abandonment when God calls it timing.

We interpret waiting as punishment when God calls it purpose.

Not every delay is an attack.

Not every delay is a curse.

Not every delay means something is wrong.

Sometimes God is preparing what will come out of you.

So do not be too quick to envy people whose blessings arrived faster than yours.

You do not know what gap God was filling in their lives.

You do not know what sorrow He was healing.

You do not know what battle He was answering.

God deals with His children individually.

He is not working from one script.

What God is doing in someone else's life may not be what He is doing in yours.

And what He is doing in yours may require a completely different process.

Rachel was loved before she was fruitful.

And that is important.

Your value before God is not measured by what you have produced.

Your worth was settled before the fruit appeared.

Then Genesis says, “And God remembered Rachel.”

God had not forgotten her.

Her appointed time had arrived.

And when Joseph was born, we see that the story was bigger than Rachel's waiting.

Joseph would eventually stand before Pharaoh and become a ruler in Egypt.

Samuel would become a prophet whose words did not fall to the ground.

John the Baptist would be called one of the greatest among those born of women.

Too many people forget that the bible tells us that we have to forgive others, just as God has forgiven us. Unforgiveness will ruin you from the inside out, the only way to move forward is to let go & forgive. Easier said than done but it must be done. We must forgive one another

Heavenly Father, with a heart full of hope, we wake to a new day rejoicing in Your presence. Go before us this Saturday morning and clear the path You have laid for us. We trust You and lean not on our own understanding. Give us clarity and wisdom for any difficulties we face. What is impossible for us is possible with You. In all our ways we acknowledge You. Keep us focused on Your kingdom work today as the Holy Spirit leads. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
