@atharia_ Andromeda is a fun, dare I say good sci-fi game, while concurrently being a bad Mass Effect game. That's been my take on it for quite a while.

@godfree I agree with this. It all amounts to risk aversion. Creating a game that will fail is too risky for most studios now. Claire Obscure is the exception where CoD, God of War, Ghost ot Yotei are the rule. It ultimately results in most games feeling the same.

@kalaelizabeth I found EA's reticence for Remasters hilariously ironic given how their sports franchises have been annual remakes for 3 whole decades. Once the see how much money it can print, they'll consider it again.

The different engines make a DA remaster a problem. Higher dev costs.

@kalaelizabeth You have to remember, at the time, live service introduced an entirely new revenue stream that every publisher wanted. It was extremely alluring to shareholders and greedy CEOs. It's a shame Bioware got mixed up in that. I always said MS should have bought BW instead.

@patriot_viper In all honesty, I'm still rocking a Zen 3 Ryzen 5600X. An upgrade to a 7700X or 9700X with DDR-5 6000 mHz RAM and a B650 or B670 would do wonders. I can stretch the life of my RTX 3070Ti a little longer with that set up.
