@ceidwadol@visegrad24 You're amplifying the Russian agenda, which is to negotiate Minsk 3, rebuild, then resume the offensive in a few years. A negotiated solution that allows Russia to keep any of its territorial gains would be disastrous. Ukraine, properly armed, can and must win on the battlefield.
@JoabOdero8@visegrad24 And not only historians. @arestovych has voiced a theory that German and French political leadership are afraid of the world where Ukraine wins and the center of gravity in Europe shifts east. Too bad for these cowards. So long as the US and UK stand with Ukraine, it will win.
@FreiheitModerne@callsignmole@visegrad24 I doubt it's any more complicated than the French CAESAR, which is already on the front lines. Scholz is trying to appease Putin. He has failed to delivery any of systems promised in April: Marder APCs, Gepard AAs, PzH 2000—none delivered. Scholz is as full of lies as Putin.
@EetuSeppnen1@RipRawlings I wish that were true, but listening to people with detailed knowledge of the situation on the front, e.g. Arestovych and Oleg Zhdanov, they describe a dire situation where, along key axis in Popasna, Lyman etc, the Russians have an advantage in artillery and armor of 8-20 to 1.
@WSJ is reporting that US will be sending HIMARS to Ukraine! At long last! Let's hope it will be in sufficient numbers and not too late to make a difference on the front lines. The systems are expected to arrive "within weeks." https://t.co/cHoYdu9d76
Ukraine has “combat-experienced pilots, who are willing and ready to go now for trainings. They were willing to go yesterday. But there is no decision to accept them and to provide that because there is no decision to provide fighter jets,”🇺🇦MP said.

Fascist Russia is advancing in the east of Ukraine because it brings more heavy weapons to the battle and sacrifices its soldiers as cannon fodder.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot match the enemy's firepower, mostly due to Chancellor Scholz blocking delivery of heavy weapons.
But we also must send M270 MLRS or M142 HIMARS (photo), because without them russian supply points and long range air defense positions remain out of reach for Ukrainian artillery.
The brave Ukrainians need our help. Let us be brave like them and send them all they need.

Four letters can help Ukraine:
-repel Russian offensive in the Donbas
-foil Russian plans to annex Kherson
-stop Russian torture, rape, and other horrific human rights abuses in the occupied territories
-unblock exports and avert global food crisis
These four letters are: MLRS.
@McFaul I hate to say this, but there is one part of the Kremlin belief system that has a kernel of truth: Western political elites, with a few exception, are spineless. They jump at the fist word from the Kremlin, both out of fear and out of the venal desire to return to the status quo.
@McFaul Ukrainian officials have stated unambiguously that they need MLRS to win. The situation in Donbas is deteriorating, with ZSU forces under heavy pressure and key strongholds under threat of envelopment. The dithering over the pace and scope of weapons deliveries is criminal.
When I worked at @WHNSC and @StateDept, I observed that decision-makers tended to overstate the risks of action and underestimate the risks of inaction. Non-decisions are decisions with consequences too. THREAD 1/

Analyzing the #RussiaUkraineWar in terms of national interest is misguided. This @cepa author has put it well: "The war is the expression of one man’s imperial ambitions, personal complexes, and desires." The #NATO expansion story line has always been a red herring.
@oscar_vescaraz@Gerashchenko_en For nearly three months, the defenders of Mariupol kept the Russians tied down, relieving the pressure on other fronts. They inflicted heavy losses on the invaders despite being vastly outnumbered, outgunned and cut off from resupplies. Their achievement will echo down the ages.
Rubizhne, a Ukrainian town just north of Severodonetsk, has been turned into rubble by indiscriminate Russian shelling. Before the war, the town was home to 60,000 people. Now it looks much like Mariupol. #RussiaUkraineWar
