The actual price was $5 trillion.

Wars always cost more than promised.

The S&P 500 is 3% from its all-time high.

Both of those things are true simultaneously. And that tells you everything about whose economy this actually is.

Since the 2020 pandemic, consumer sentiment has collapsed 50%. During the same period, the stock market has returned 205%.

Those two lines don't just diverge. They go in opposite directions at roughly the same speed.
