and the cloud story that naim tells.. i think religion and their different ways of grieving the loss of naim’s dad/ her husband really did separate them, nothing worse for a teenager to see your parents starting to dislike the person youre growing into
i think the worst part is that they didnt really have a bad relationship we see this during their first scene/conversation in the movie... how can you become so disgusted by your son just because the person he likes isnt your standard?
what had me genuinely intrigued beside the art style was my friend telling me i would never guess the backstory of qifrey so i was dead set on guessing it correctly while reading the manga (didnt know shit was about to play into my face and cause a major mental breakdown)
