ex-tech policy and media editor, Washington Post, ex WSJ justice editor and Time bureau chief/editor in Ottawa, Vienna, Chicago, Brussels, Paris and London
@siobhan_ogrady@washingtonpost What a masterful, gut-wrenching piece it is. No more telling example of what the Post has lost, not only in you but in the many others who made this happen--after all.
One more baleful consequence of Trump's folly, per @aaronwiener .... How the Iran War Could Bring the Far Right to Power in Europe https://t.co/8za9vm2hrj
@LivPetersen So disheartened to see this tweeted out. I’ve heard no ‘former’ wish anything but the best to those still in The Post newsroom— and until now same in the other direction. Knowing how assiduously Posties’ tweets are policed, the snark in this one must be intentional.
I loved working with @jeremymbarr at @washingtonpost but I’m glad he’s now free and able to lay out this damning account of disastrous leadership. https://t.co/wJp2zOcJNd
The layoffs at the Washington Post are an occasion for me to end my 45-year journalism career. I'm grateful to @loriamontgomery and @SobelFitts for letting me cap it at the Post; we didn't expect such tumult. 2/3 of one of the best tech teams in journalism is in play; hire them!
New: Here's a chart of the top conservative / progressive accounts on X. See that small blue dot at the top? That's @Acyn. His fast-cut clips of political combat get hundreds of millions more views than major news sources - and basically no one knows who he is. So I profiled him.
