What some Airbnb hosts seem to forget is that paid lodging has long-established standards.
In many hotels, you don’t even carry your own luggage. It’s taken to your room for you. You are received, settled, and then left in peace to live your life.
That is the premise.
You arrive.
Your belongings are handled.
Your space is maintained.
And when you leave, you leave without performing domestic labor.
Fresh linens.
A properly cleaned room.
Trash removed.
Dishes handled.
Supplies replenished.
Privacy respected.
This is not extravagance. It is the baseline expectation of hospitality.
Guests are not roommates. They are not temporary staff. They are not caretakers preparing the space for the next person. If someone is paying for lodging and especially paying a cleaning fee the expectation is to be taken care of, not audited.
Quite frankly, a host should expect signs of use. They should expect dishes in the sink. They should expect a mess. That is not a failure that is the job. That is why turnover service exists. A space that looks “untouched” after a stay is not a mark of excellence; it’s an unrealistic and entitled expectation.
Hotels understood this generations ago: the product is not the room it is peace of mind. No chores. No anxiety. No post-stay scrutiny. Certainly no filming or commentary.
Hospitality that treats paying guests as inconveniences is not hospitality at all. It is cost-cutting disguised as control.
Colorado Democrats are preparing to seize private land from farmers, this process began under the Biden Administration but has been updated
Reasons for justification of land seizures
- Herbivory (cattle grazing)
-Most alarmingly, “land ownership” is called a stressor, with the speaker quoting: “Landownership patterns in the Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands are highly fragmented due to historical land acquisitions, homesteading policies and shifts in land management priorities. This fragmentation poses challenges to ecosystem management, biodiversity conservation and operational efficiency.”
“Land ownership is a stressor on what the US Forest Service Agency wants to accomplish here with this new assessment so they can take this land from the public and so they can take private land.”
“They take land from ranchers and once they perfect the process, they go after anyone that's in their way. You live in a subdivision and they think that there's a turtle in your subdivision that would naturally exist if you and your home weren't there, guess what? You're in their way.”
This is real and happening
@mattvsmetaverse@lporiginalg@OwenBenjamin@paleochristcon Yeah, samsies. I pray for Humility (ability to admit error/ flaws in logic with sincerity) Growth ( evisceration of world views often a prerequisite) . War, even on a micro level such as debate is not the place for hand holding and kumbaya - that’s correct. I pray for good.
@furkangozukara It’s been so heavy on my heart
I try to express to others the deep sadness I feel. I’m told I’m overly emotional; it’s really that they’re either willfully disassociated, propagandized or generally ignorant. I feel helpless,,what a wicked world. I greatly respect you for this
@bobbybonesshow He should do what he thinks benefits his family the most. It all depends on his family dynamics and individual circumstance ! But I will say, you can’t buy TIME. And they’re only little for so long. But hard work sets a good example. Tough Choice. Godspeed
