My love for a woman who can confidently sing Igbo rap songs eh… e dey worry me. 😂❤️
Forget the ojah for a minute. Give me a woman that knows her way around Igbo rap lyrics and I might just finish the little money in my account willingly. 😂
My woman caught me one night, volume on full blast, listening to Aguero Banks. She just look at me with that amused face and say:
“Onye awuruuuuuuu!”
And without missing a beat, I’ll answer:
“Ọ̀ sị gị gịnịiiiiii?” 😂😂
At that point, the relationship has entered another level. No long conversations, no unnecessary explanations. Just Igbo music, random lyrics and two people disturbing the neighbours together. 😂
Honestly, I have so much love for artists who keep pushing Igbo culture through music. Every time you put our language, expressions and identity on a beat, you’re preserving something bigger than just a song.
Keep singing Igbo. Keep rapping Igbo.
Some of us are listening… and falling in love. ❤️
