Why does literally no one care about the cultural appropriation issue in blackpinkโs mv? like Iโm not calling bp out and we donโt have to start fanwars to raise awareness for YG to do something, but this isnโt even about kpop anymore please :-(
bp has made it soooo clear that they love using desi culture for aesthetics and enjoy making fun of our dances, etc. yet yall choose to look away because its not relevant to you. or is it because you dont see anything wrong and would do the same ๐ง
kpop companies would save a TON of time AND money from writing apology letters, press management, and loss of paying fans by being proactive.
emphasis on MONEY. put money into services to educate staff & artists, make it regular & a priority โ and take the burden off of the fans.
iโm sorry, but it is insane how we as kpop fans have to REGULARLY call out & email companies over cultural appropriation in huge-budget MVs, offensive wardrobe choices, or discriminatory language/behavior by artists. these apology letters ainโt doin nothin โ KPOP NEEDS TO EVOLVE.
