@Andre_Spiteri I mean I was pretty surprised/impressed thinking a.) you were cold pitching anything, and b.) whoever got that pitch wasn't snapping it up. But the real story is maybe even nuttier.
@Andre_Spiteri Do you think they were serious or was this just their "discourage cold pitches" boilerplate C&P? Because either is totally hilarious, but in totally different ways.
To be successful, you don't have to:
- Sacrifice your health
- Burn all the comforts you have
- Do burpees in the rain while someone yells at you
You can just be happy and create things people love.
@annehelen I loved this article. As someone raised in conservative religion (Catholic, but tinged with the Latin Mass of the Sedevacantists AND the Evangelical flavour of the Quiverful homeschoolers) I spent a lot of time "deconstructing" and had a front row seat to these shifts. Beautiful.
@JoelKlettke@LydiaKitts is a genius with both of these things (and also as smart about data in design as she is creative.) She's not on twitter much but I can DM her contact info and an intro if you want!
@drewbeechler I switched to @SavvyCal recently and find it much better. I do think best practice is to offer a time, and then say, if that doesn't work for you, here's a link where you can find one that suits your schedule.
Ok I know I'm old (and late, always late) but I totally assumed Daft Punk had broken up around the last time I went to a mainstream music festival. RIP, good robots.
Okay, really fun and random surprise from @WeTransfer – I love the meta-ness of this marketing push. Brand building delight, no pushiness. https://t.co/TBMnOHtEnl
It's well over a decade since I listened to the whole 3 hours of @TheMagFields' 69 Love Songs all in a row without stopping, but there was a period there in my early 20s where I did little else. It's lockdown, it's late, I'm here, and I'm already delighted with my life choices.
