Why is the CTA struggling to hire when NYC, DC, and SF have met or exceeded their pre-pandemic staffing levels?

Current leadership is failing Chicago riders.

Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker should appoint a new board and a new president should lead the CTA to recovery. (3)

Just put in on the sign now

#montrosedogbeach found a dogs lost AirTag on Sunday 3/10 at 12pm - putting it in a plastic bag and taping it to the #Mondog sign tomorrow just before the beach. SN ends in P0̷GV and it isn’t in lost mode 🤙🏼

12 businesses broken into in a matter of 40 minutes is a sign that something is deeply, deeply wrong in this city.

There appears to be a lack of urgency.

Better Streets Chicago received word a cyclist was injured by a driver tonight while on the Lakefront Trail near Foster. Looks like the timeline to show up in numbers to the next Chicago Park District board meeting has significantly sped up

So as you may have heard our “iconic” “beloved” and “resilient” (media description of us, definitely not our own) bar got burglarized last Friday morning.

Perhaps you or someone you know are familiar with our unwelcome gentleman caller?

A 78-year-old man was hospitalized after being beaten and robbed in Lakeview this morning.

Within an hour, at least 13 more people were robbed by men who physically attacked women and men on the street.

No arrests.

If you’re going to (or even just near) Ravenswood on TP today go buy some soda, pop, or water too. Helps send CPS kids to DC to learn about government (and maybe even the important role of lobbying?🤔). #FreePlug 👇

Help us shine a light on Cook County courtrooms.

Cook County terminated daily live streams of bail hearings today, one day before the Supreme Court will decide the future of cash bail in Illinois.

With your help, we will now purchase official transcripts of important bail and detention hearings. We will use the transcripts to inform the public about what is happening in court, even if the courts don't really want the public to know.

• Every dollar received will be used 100% to purchase official court transcripts for reporting.

• CWBChicago will match every dollar contributed, thereby doubling the power of your investment.

• We will maintain an easy-to-access page on https://t.co/iKHGYCS2Lc where you will be able to see how every dollar is spent and the stories we publish using transcripts purchased with the fund.

@CWBChicago That was a good summary of all the shootings happening there. There was a farmers market they tried to host there that ended because people with guns were spotted (2 months back)

A 17-year-old boy was shot in Uptown on Sunday night.

Shots were fired in the same area on Saturday evening, but no injuries were reported that time.

@CWBChicago I didn’t see anything posted about the string of auto break ins this past Sunday morning in Graceland west, Ravenswood, lake view - about 20-30 cars had windows broken and there’s video @WGNNews @WGNMorningNews @SPOTNEWSonIG

Coyotes on Greenview Ave west of #graceland cemetery last Wednesday night around 10:30pm #gracelandcemetery #coyotes
Saw one of them again today near the north west side that was collared but was limping

After years of negotiations, the Mayor announced a deal with ComEd, just weeks before a major election.

*Lots* of red flags here. 🚩🚩🚩
