Like if conservatives use the conflation of sex and gender to deny healthcare rights via deceptive reframing of the idea.

There’s loads of cultures that serve as alternative examples. Which beyond utility, I think is just interesting to know about.

The problem is I don’t think there is a rigid definition of gender to be found. Since it’s culturally constructed, it varies by region, era, and individual.

So rather than running from that realization, I think we should embrace the chaos? Its kinda abstract tbh.

There were native cultures here in the US that had 3rd genders for example.

Then you look at what was considered masculine in 16th century, it’d be unrecognizable to the masculine standards of today.

But conservatives biggest issue is with bodily autonomy in regards to HRT.

Even so, if someone’s more comfortable being referred to by effeminate language, I don’t think it’d be fair to deny them that to achieve political goals?

Then extrapolating this out-word what is “femininity”? It’s a social construct of expectation/ perception.

A feminine man is a man exhibiting those perceptions.

Since gender is just a series of arbitrary roles, perceptions, and expectations, attributing gender to sex would restrict behavior on the basis of biology.

That’s the entire thing I was complaining about.
