My mum, who's 80 in August, was taken into hospital while on holiday in Llandudno last week with kidney stones. They took her to Bangor Hospital, which was absolutely heaving, and after five hours waiting to be seen, it was announced no more patients would be seen that day. Her partner drove her back to their hotel, packed up, and they went home to Wigan. The following morning, she went into Bolton Royal and was seen immediately. Fortunately, the staff at Bolton have helped her and she's on the mend. But this is an 80-year-old lady who's suffered with kidney stones often over the years. To turn an elderly person away from a hospital is disgusting. NHS Wales need to take a long, hard look at themselves.
