We're now 2 yrs into the decisive decade. Emissions should be in an unprecedented fall, instead we're seeing the 2nd biggest rise ever recorded. We're wasting invaluable time pretending we can solve this crisis without treating it like a crisis. World leaders are still in denial.

@jprgooch I'm 24 and 1yr in to work, working 1-3 nights a week on top of days and 24hr weekend shifts and constantly tired &lacking energy.
I had a month with no nights and weekends due to a changeover in night staff and felt great... Not sustainable, but little choice w this career (vet)
A year since my last day at university and I have forgotten 99% of everything I was ever taught. Apart from the fact that racing pigeons have a life span of 30 years. Useful

Just putting it out there: it's Feb, it's been -10°C (and below) with a foot or 2 of snow, for the last week and most of the horses I saw out today were completely rugless. Some in a rug without a neck. We are talking warmbloods types, not cobs or icelandics.
Trying to be an intern (in a busy hospital) at the same time as learning swedish, cooking dinner, keeping fit, playing hockey and making time for my friends and family somehow isn't working out how I planned in my head 🤔
Don't you just love weekends with only an intern and vet working AND being the only hospital in pretty much the whole of sweden to be providing non-elective surgery at the moment. With a nice cold change in weather on top 🙃
On Christmas Eve I walked through Heathrow with a passport check. Nothing else. No swab test. No checking of my Fit To Fly document. Not even a temperature check. It is harder to get into fucking Wagamama than it is to the UK.
