Congratulations to #nbed teachers who just ratified an agreement that will raise top pay to $105,000 (+ $16K) over the course of the next 2 1/2 years! In order to maintain #onted's pay advantage over NB, top pay in ON will need to increase to over $121,000. Cue the mass exodus.

#onted starting salaries continue to free fall in comparison to other provinces. Top NB starting salary is now almost $66K and will rise to $71K in 2 1/2 years. Contrast that with ON's starting salary, which is currently $57K, and will rise to $60K if Lecce gets his 5%/4 years.

Michigan provides $9600 for student teachers to cover living expenses while on practicum. They have also significantly raised teacher pay to attract people to both the profession and the state. @fordnation what is Ontario doing? Beside fighting pay raises in court, of course

My 17 year old has take a functions class at night this year because Doug Ford and Stephen Lecce crammed too many kids into classrooms. High School now starts at 7 pm. Sick Province. Conservative run provinces are fucked.
