@oak_leychlo Honestly itโs not lockdown or treating covid patients daily that gets to me, itโs people openly mugging off the MILLIONS that have died, their families and everyone who is sticking to the rules by having the audacity to post their rule breaking on social media
Just honestly feel his whole aim is to โโprotect the NHSโโ but he eased lockdown when all the numbers and scientists told him not to and now hospitals are in a dire situation.
Boris locked down the UK in Nov, then when looking to ease lockdown restrictions at the beginning of Dec he surely reviewed the number of people being hospitalised and saw it was higher than when he started the lockdown but he still opened the country back up anyway? Right ๐ค
I spent โฌ50 for a 3 minute phone call with my GP last week about a mental health issue (I'm fine). He said he'd refer me to regional MH services, but I I'd be waiting 2 years for an appointment. Just got a text to say referral was rejected. MH services in Ireland are a disgrace.
@EmilyBeeney2 Because regardless of all the people out on the streets on a Thursday clapping for us and all other essential workers (which we appreciate) there are still naive people suggesting we knew what we got ourselves in for!
@EmilyBeeney2 & I didnโt care about the pay but how do you put a price on health and life? Expectations & reality are not the same thing. No one expected there would be 35,000+ deaths in the UK in three months but thatโs the reality. So if we donโt ask for more pay then who will do it for us?
@EmilyBeeney2 3/4 - I donโt think that the NHS is more valuable or more essential than any other profession or service when life is normal but life isnโt normal right now and I think in the long run the NHS, other emergency services and key workersโ salaries should reflect that
@EmilyBeeney2 2/4 - We signed up for long hours, night shifts, stretched resources, hard decisions, under staffing and all the other things that the lack of funding for the NHS brings but we never signed up to actively risk our lives and our families lives daily for the most basic pay grade.
@EmilyBeeney2 1/4 - The NHS saves millions of lives around the country every day and thatโs before the pandemic. Where it is not possible to save the patient, we make their final time on this earth as comfortable as possible.
