Historians are still debating whether the map was used as a guide for pilgrimage or rather as an example of art expression during that time. What I can say, is that (to me) it was very impressive to see and it’s still beautifully preserved and surely a site not to miss in Jordan!

I couldn’t contain my excitement today after seeing in person the Madaba Map! The oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy sites in the Middle East (particularly Palestine, Jordan and Egypt). Crafted around AD 560, only a quarter of it is still preserved.

Feeling like Grünenberg when he saw Modon (Methoni) from Agostino Contarini’s galley. It’s incredible how my new job brought me here, in one of the most famous stops along the sea route to the Holy Land during the Middle Ages. My heart skipped a beat today ♥️

@HMRCcustomers I’m trying to prove my identity to apply for tax-free childcare but it’s impossible to do for a settled-status resident as the site doesn’t give any option for doing it! How can I prove my identity if I can’t upload my status or passport unless is a UK one?

@JuliaHB1 So why not working at a call centre instead of doing the GPs? Doctors should see their patients in person (as much as they possibly can of course) otherwise they should choose another profession.
