@fakedansavage @humpfilmfest I run a festi and didn’t use to have fees, but we were swamped with 100s of films not relevant to our theme - and we’re a volunteer run festi! Evaluating films takes so much time. We now have a fee of $2-3 & offer fee waivers - really makes a difference, only relevant films apply

@LucyRix2 I often give up crisps for lent-like occasions, my loophole for still having some kind of crisps while keeping catholic guilt at bay is to go by the Italian translation - patatine fritte, which means “fried potatoes”, so anything non-potato based is good! Enjoy the hummus crisps!

Just got settled status - it took Home Office 4 days to process my application. Meanwhile,for those without a EU passport it takes 4 applications over the course 10 years, having to spend close to £10k. I spent zero. It’s possible for EU ppl. Let’s make it possible for everyone.

As an Italian who has lived abroad and heard “jokes” about us not following the rules for far too long, I’m disgusted by @BorisJohnson statement that UK #COVID19 numbers are higher than Italy’s bc brits are a freedom loving bunch who don’t like to follow rules &be told what to do
