@sarahajeel @JMTsuji It would give everyone a strong enough foundation so that TAs could focus more on the lab work itself. [though I agree that complaining about students is practically a national pastime of TAs ;)]
@sarahajeel @JMTsuji I always tried to give useful feedback, but I also think it's foolish for schools to rely on TAs to teach scientific writing. There's so much variability in TAs (some are 2nd/3rd year undergrads). I feel like a science program should just have a required scientific writing course
Are you a scientist with experience in analytical methods? @Indigoag is hiring - come work for a great company and a great team :) https://t.co/0Xq3YCX3DL

@tstou10@PlymouthState@WhiteMountainNF Very cool! I am thinking about coming up from Boston to do one of these (not tomorrow, but later in the summer). Do you have to book a spot or just show up?
@deray28 My boyfriend is fascinated by uranium glass too! This one is out of my grandma's basement... but yeah, I definitely will not be storing any food in it :)
@deray28 It's quite high for a household item. 5 uSv/h = "Elevated risk. Relocate as soon as possible. 10 uSv/h = "Danger. Relocate now". But it still pales in comparison to taking a flight or getting a dental x-ray
