On my overnight ED call yesterday, more than 50% of the patients I cared for were Spanish speaking only. Being able to bypass the need for an interpreter streamlined their care and helped create quick rapport. Better language access leads to better health outcomes!

This photograph, captured in 2016, reflects a pivotal moment during my rotation in Brooklyn during my second match season. Due to financial constraints, my wife remained in Pakistan, foregoing the Match. Despite a low Step 1 score and average CK and Step 3 results, compounded by a Year of Graduation exceeding three years, I persisted.
Through a combination of determination, divine assistance, support from friends and family, and guidance from mentors, I eventually succeeded.
