~2 years ago, I got my fiancée a ring as a gift.
She lost it this morning. We think she may have dropped it near the bus stop by Lisburn Road police station (Belfast). We were out looking but can’t find it.
Pic below. If anyone found it, we’d be very grateful for its return.
When the Knesset yesterday, passed the law approving the death penalty for Palestinians ONLY, they popped champagne bottles in the chamber as they applauded. You read that correctly.
Not your problem?
It’s complicated?
STILL SILENT?
SILENCE IS COMPLICITY.
I hate to be that guy, but the No Kings protests are peak "feel good liberalism designed to make you feel like you're doing something ™️"
There's no demands! It's even on a weekend so it doesn't threaten capital.
Like, come on y'all
they're being boycotted cause they were giving free happy meals to idf soldiers who were spending their day killing and bombing palestinians btw, in case someone genuinely wants to know in the year of 2k26.
So let me get this straight: Iran blocking the Strait of Hormuz is ,unfair’ but blocking oil shipments to Cuba in order to collapse their whole country is what? Fair?
I have zero respect for people who stay neutral all the time. I mean, pick a side. Stand for something. Have an opinion or just admit that you are spineless and stand for nothing.
The DUP wouldn't be seen anywhere near St Patrick's celebrations on the island of Ireland but will go to the USA and pretend to be Irish so they can schmooze with a paedophile
On this day in 1981, 841 young people went out for a Valentine's Day dance in The Stardust nightclub in Artane. That night, 48 sons and daughters of Dublin never came home, tragically dying in a nightmarish and preventable fire. Escape routes were chained shut. Dozens of young people were seriously injured, hundreds of family members and friends were traumatised forever.
The first tribunal cited arson as the "probable" cause, implying one of the young people attending the disco caused the fire. This verdict was contradicted by extensive evidence that emergency exits in the club were regularly blocked, padlocked, and chained. This was also the case that fateful night.
The families felt this was a cover-up, scapegoating their children. The arson verdict absolved the Stardust's owners and operators (the Butterlys) of any guilt and made it impossible for the survivors and victims' families to sue for compensation. Shockingly, the Butterly family themselves successfully made a compensation claim for IR£581,000 in 1983 for the arson verdict.
The survivors and families never gave up, even though a government-ordered report in 2009 said there was no evidence of arson, but due to the passage of time and lack of evidence, no more investigation was warranted. The same verdict was returned again in 2017.
Then, in 2018, a fresh postcard writing campaign was launched, compelling the Attorney General to finalise the coroner's reports. This grassroots citizen led action led to the Attorney General confirming fresh inquests would be held.
These investigations into the deaths began at Dublin District Coroners Court in April 2023.On the 18th of April 2024, the jury returned a majority verdict of unlawful killing of all 48 people.
Sadly, many victims and loved ones have already passed away without seeing the justice and vindication they so badly deserve. In August 2024 the Irish government signed off on a €24 million redress package for the Stardust families.
This year, Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan announced a €16.4 million scheme offering flat "recognition payments" of €20,000 to approximately 823 survivors of the fire.
Take a moment today to imagine the futures those young people would've had. All the lives they would've touched, the love they would've given and received. The children they could've made.
May the dead find peace, may the living find justice.

At the same time as Arsenal were sacking their kit man of 20+ years for making pro-Palestine, anti-genocide posts on social media they were protecting, and playing, a rapist
So when Jess Philips was laughing at Rivkah Brown for asking her if she would proscribe the sufferagettes and claiming she'd seen chilling intelligence on Pal action she was, of course, lying through her teeth
I need US americans to start giving a fuck. What your government is doing to the people of Cuba is a crime against humanity and if you‘re not fighting back against the Democrats and Republicans you are complicit and no better than Israeli settlers.
