BREAKING: A campaign official leaks the response Governor Tim Walz plans to deliver today to Donald Trump insulting the entire city of Detroit — and it's absolutely perfect.

Nice guy Tim is taking the gloves off...

"Maybe if he ever spent any time in the Midwest, he’d know Detroit is experiencing a great American comeback," Walz will say, according to the official. "Crime is down. The city is growing. Factories are opening again. But all these guys know about manufacturing is how to manufacture bullsh*t."

Walz will make the comments in Michigan, a crucial swing stage that Trump alienated with his disparaging comments. The governor will also hit back against Trump's vilification of electric vehicle manufacturing.

"Some of these plants will produce electric vehicles. And I know some folks here might be a little skeptical of that," Walz intends to say. "Here’s my take on this: People are looking for choices — and we need to make those choices more affordable. Nobody’s mandating anything. If you want to drive a ‘79 International Harvester Scout like I do, knock yourself out."

Walz's rhetorical barrage comes in response to the comments Trump made yesterday at the Detroit Economic Club—

"I don't think that anything we're talking about today is high on our list. The whole country's gonna be like... You want to know the truth? It'll be like Detroit," Trump said.

"Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president. You're gonna have a mess on your hands," he added.

He claimed to his audience that "your car industry is going out of business. It's going out of business" and that a Harris win would be a "nightmare" for them.

He also insulted Detroit as a "once great city."
