Back in my day, when progressives were focused on progress and not on monetizing clicks for the Elon dollar, we used to want two main things from rich people:
1. Pay your fair share of taxes
2. Pay and treat your employees well
Despite what some think, Taylor Swift is not a Senator, so she can't write tax policy. But she supports candidates for political office who want to raise her taxes.
Taylor is known for being the best paying boss in the business. The $197 million in Eras Tour bonuses were obviously the most eye catching. But she has had a reputation for paying people fantastically long before that.
So since Taylor does the two things I want rich people to do, I have zero problem with her having a lavish wedding. If you care about progress and not just monetizing clicks, focus on the many rich people who don't do either of the things I mentioned. There are plenty of targets. Taylor isn't one of them.
On the topic of neurodivergency and accountability: I was once in a relationship with an autistic guy who "could not" handle adult responsibilities without external support
At a certain point I had to conclude it's unethical to be in a relationship with someone so helpless
The white girls that deserve the treatment y’all give Taylor Swift. The post would have 500k likes by now if it was a lie about Taylor Swift. Just performative and pathetic 🤮
@naikilvstudying@ferramx @ m4tuzzalen es la cuenta pero lo del chino es un tweet viejo, ahorita esta diciendo que la abogacia no es de ciencias sociales jajsja
I believe that you cannot fundamentally understand the magical lore of ASOIAF especially regarding Targaryens, their dragons, and blood magic if you haven’t read and analysed Daenerys POVs… F&B isn’t enough alone it is literally meaningless without her chapters
“mr swift” discourse will never not be funny because it’s like, “so, you agree: the act of changing one’s name when one gets married is an act of submission and diminishes one’s personal identity and accomplishments” but they never fully metabolize it
