@BlairWilliams26 For me itโs bc as a teen she put into words how I felt even if it was corny AF. At the time I was teased for being a fan (I think bc of internalised misogyny) now itโs cool? Also she is a pop lyrical genius imho. Simple, catchy songs that make me feel seen!
@drhungo@DanielAndrewsMP Each trip to the chemist would last 3 months for me. From my experience, given how safe and long-term the drug can be, it was annoying having regular GP reviews to get a repeat script for this. Although I can also see the benefits of it prompting a routine check up.
@liv_willis Great to see more attention on this. Have you considered teaming up with the makers of the Birth Time doco or Sophie Walker from Australian Birth Stories?
@TamePunk Surely itโs their role to do the investigation part!
So frustrating for victim survivors when met with these kinds of legal barriers. It takes so much to report.
More on the @VicParliament inquiry report released today ... Interesting claim from CV Commissioner Larissa Strong which indicated that in "2021, only 6% of people (10% of women) entering the prison system reported that they had legal custody of their children" 1/2
@davidgmandel@SafeandTogether Iโve found S&T mapping super helpful in clarifying assessments on who is the perpetrator especially with family violence dynamics that seem unusual, or when the perpetrator is using systems abuse to make cross allegations (which seems to happen more often than not).
@WynRichards Deakin ALP volunteer here. We had a tiny budget yet doorknocked 2x weekly for weeks, letterboxed ourselves, out at stations every day, covered every prepoll and poll shift despite covid taking out our volunteers, phonebanking & Albo did visit. It was a great grassroots campaign.
