Your reposts are not enough. It is painful and triggering to see others able to live their lives business as usual or even joyfully right now. Take action. It shouldn’t be up to those who’ve been treated like they are invisible since they arrived in this country to tell you how.
My mom recently told me about when she toured my brother’s public elementary school in Eastern Queens where we grew up. They handed her a pamphlet on diversity in the school and on the front it had a picture of a group of kids who were white, Black and Latinx.
I have had intrusive thoughts about people seeing my parents, me, my son, my brother and his children and choosing to hurt us as we go about our every day lives literally non stop as this continues to happen. We are terrified. We are hurting.
Support Asian communities, businesses and organizations with donations. Have these difficult conversations with friends and family for us because we are tired, scared, angry and working through so much grief and trauma.

It’s a hard day to wear the face I was born with. All 6 of the Asian women killed last night were someone’s daughter, sister, mother, wife, lover, friend. As I read the headlines last night, I held my son tightly back as his little arms clung to my chest.
Talk to people who support politicians who created this displaced blame, who stoked/encouraged violence through rhetoric like “China virus” or “Kung flu” anyone that is STILL talking about bats. Publicly condemn these words and actions that have caused harm to innocent people.
This impeachment trial was a referendum on white supremacist violence.
43 Republican senators confirmed they condone it. They enable it. They must be expelled.
